Sun damage in the Las Vegas and Henderson area is a serious matter. If you prepare and stay aware you can go a long way to keeping your skin youthful looking and free from harm (yes, that means skin cancer!) during the summer and all year around. Plus, your skin will thank you with glowing gratitude.
- Limit sun exposure - especially during the peak ours of 10 am to 2 pm. This goes for any season of the year. These are prime hours for exposure to skin-damaging ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun, even on overcast days.
- The right clothing makes a difference. If you are going to be out and about wear pants and shirts with long sleeves. Other ideal accessories include a nice, wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and an umbrella - make your own shade!
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Broad-spectrum means the product protects your skin from both UVA (the rays that prematurely age your skin causing wrinkles and age spots - so evil!) and UVB (the rays that cause cancer). We have wonderful broad-spectrum sunscreens in stock from both the Pure Liquid Essentials Line and Phytomer. Consult with one of our knowledgeable estheticians to find the best product for your skin and use it.
